Over Christmas break I decided would be the perfect time to take my girls (my 2 daughters and my niece) on a girls trip! As a bar crawl was obviously out of the question we went on a coffee crawl!!! I have NEVER been so caffeinated in my life!!! I still get a little jittery just thinking about it.
We started out at Kimzey’s Coffee the sheer cuteness is reason enough to go but the coffee and wine selection is to die for! No really! Trust me if you are anywhere near Argyle, Texas give it a stop you will not be sorry! After our coffee, chai, wassail hydration we headed basically next door to Earl’s 377 and some delicious pizza to fuel the fun.
West Oak Coffee Bar in Denton was next on the list and I had an amazing cinnamon roll and cortado that was the perfect blend of caffeine with a kick and the bacon was over the top delicious! Espresso shots aren’t usually my thing but I am on the look out for them these days thanks to that gorgeous little one I got that night!
After that we headed to the square in Denton for some local fun. Recycled sucked us in and we spent a couple of hours pouring over books, records, art and more. I definitely think it was the highlight of the trip as I have been asked at least 3 times to take them back.
Atomic Candy was next door to More Fun Comics and Games so it just made good sense to take in both stores and to balance all that coffee with some candy, I mean what does a road trip need but candy. Which basically means we got little to no sleep that night!
Our last stop for the night was Cultivar Coffee where I had another amazing caffeinated beverage.
We called it a night and headed to our hotel room at that point to eat candy check out the pool and watch reruns on tv together and since I had been letting them pick all of the listening material in the truck I GOT TO PICK THE SHOW so cheesy Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel were how we drifted off to dreamland.
The next morning we checked out and went to Buon Giorno Coffee but honestly I think I had officially coffeed (is that a word???) them out at this point because while I ordered a mocha they all got non coffee beverages!
Our very last stop before heading home was to 7 Mile Cafe in Keller, Texas. With my oldest being vegan it is nice to have vegan options right on the menu instead of having to piece together a meal every single time and they always delivery on the delicious so it is always a good stop for us!
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen….what to do with your 18 and 16 year old daughters and your 15 year old niece on Christmas vacation. A girl’s road trip! At least if they are all coffee addicts!
